Mtsvane is a high-quality grapevine variety that belongs to the third period of ripening, mostly cultivated in Kakheti, providing high-quality European and Kakheti-type table wines. Mtsvane made by the Kakhetian method it is dark straw-colored, full, fleshy, and energetic, with a harmonious pleasant taste, tender, characteristic aroma, and tender fruity aroma. For the strong aroma and tenderness, it is named “Georgian Risling” by wine-makers. Mtsvane provides high-quality wine in the districts of Telavi, Sagarejo, Akhmeta, Gurjaani, and (partly) in Sighnaghi, mostly on humus-carbonate, alluvial-carbonate, and alluvial-non-carbonate soils. Distinctively high quality is the Mtsvane in Akhmeta, Manavi, Ikalto, Ruispiri, and others.
The yellow straw wine with golden reflections is intensely fruity, which evokes the sensations of field flowers, dried leaves, and herbs, enriched by field strawberry aroma. It is distinguished by joyful sourness and harmonious sorted taste.
It beautifully pairs withhold beef and pork as well as with spicy dishes. Also, taste best when accomplished by roasted chicken or turkey, various salads seasoned with species, and grilled vegetables.
Serving Suggestions: The recommended temperature for serving is +12-15°С. To perceive the maximum aromas and taste properties of Mtsvane wine, we recommend opening and decanting the wine 20 minutes before tasting it.
